Notes: Playwright. Wrote under pseudonyms James Bridie, Mary Henderson and A.P. Kellock. Born in Glasgow and educated at Glasgow Academy before studying medicine at the University of Glasgow. Graduated MB ChB in 1913.
His medical career included work as a general practitioner, consulting physician (Victoria Infirmary) and professor of medicine (Anderson College of Glasgow). His plays include The Sunlight Sonata (1928), The Swithback (1929), The Anatomist (1930) and A Sleeping Clergyman (1933).
President, XIII Club, Glasgow.
