Content: Notebook containing handwritten medical receipts or recipes and notes on photographic processes. Receipts include syrups, tinctures, pills, instructions for making 'Waterproof cement' and pickling beef. The first few pages are dated (1841-2) and include prices for ingredients. The notes on photography (including 'Calotype Process', 'Fixing', 'Positive Pictures', 'The Collodion Process') are undated but believed to be contemporary with the development of these processes. Author and place of writing unknown.
