Going back to battallion at Chiseldon near Swindon. Met Stewart Laing of 8th KOSB. Also a Greenbanker named Jacob and a member of the Glasgow O.T.C. Tone of the London press 'deplorable', gather that Winston Churchill has Kitchener, Fisher, etc 'all under his thumb'. Talk of going out ' the 9th (Scottish) and 14th Division. Rumour that K2 to be used as garrison troops in England'.
