Content: [Emblemata]. 100 oval drawings of emblematic subjects in ink and wash, some of them copied from the illustrations in Alciati's Emblems. Each is within an oblong gold frame and each has a motto in Latin or Greek, often written on a scroll. A modern title, 'Emblemata', has been inserted.
