The copyist's name is Yuhanna 'bn Yusuf.
After the conclusion (which has been added by a later hand) is a folio in the original hand mounted on guards, containing two paragraphs, the first giving the copyist's name, and the second stating a question about the doctrine of the Trinity and its solution.
The last fly-leaf at the front also has two paragraphs:
"On Sunday the 24th of March in the year 1600 of the Incarnation in the city of Bandakiyah [Venice] there came to me the owner of this book the Shaikh Barakat the Melchite of Tripoli [in Syria] and we held discussions together concerning the decrees and prescriptions of the council of Florence as opposed to those of the Greek Church, until he confessed himself convinced."
"I the monk Yuhanna 'l Ma'madan [Jean Baptiste] of Hasrun [near the Cedars] the Maronite of Mt. Lebanon of the order of the preaching monks, have recorded this with my own hand... on account of the long and fast friendship between me and the said Shaikh Barakat."

Paper, 9 3/8 x 6, ff. 340, of which 12 are later substitutions, written in a large hand, in single cols. of 12 lines, each 7 x 4, rubrics, rubricated letters, etc., marginalia, leaves worm-eaten, damp-stained, decayed, and repaired with strips of paper. (610 A.H., 1213-4 A.D.)
