Attached to the front board is a slip of paper inscribed in an XVIII. Cent. hand:
1. Liber Clypei instar: explicatio pręcipuorum in Medicina. An Epitome of Physick in four Parts. (Arabic)
2. Liber Kanundget, sive Canon parvus. (Arabic)
3. MS. Turcicum. de Medicina etiam | ut videtur. (Arabic)
Similarly attached to the first fly-leaf is another paper slip inscribed in an XVIII. Cent. hand, which transliterates the Arabic [Kitab al Mogni Sharh al mogez fi Tabb], and repeats the three lines following.
Inserted at intervals are slips of paper with notes in Arabic (European hand) and Latin, in this hand (?Dr. Letherland's, see V.4.14).
The first folio is made with an original fly-leaf.
On the last page of the first work are impressions in ink of two signets, round and octagonal.

Paper, 8 1/8 x 4 3/4, ff. 309, written in single cols. of 27 lines in 1, of 21 lines in 2, of 23 in 3, and of 27 in 4, each 5½ x 2 7/8, 5 1/8 x 2 1/8, 6 x 3½, 6½ x 3 respectively, rubrics, rubricated marginalia and underlining (in 1), the paper of 1 is thin and buff coloured, that of the rest is coarser and whiter.
Binding: Millboards, covered crimson morocco, blind-tooled, and stamped on the sides and flap with a central (oval) device
