The fly-leaves are much written over with verses, traditions, references to the text, etc, in Arabic, Persian and Turkish. Attached to the front fly-leaves is a slip of paper inscribed in an early XVIII. Cent. French hand: Compendium Medicinę Autore Abi'l Hasan Ali | Ben Abi'l Dgizem Corashita . in quatuor partes dividitur, sive Fen.
Impressions of octagonal seals, in ink, occur on the second free fly-leaf and verso of f. 4, and of oval on the latter.

Paper, 8¼ x 4½, ff. 133, written in a minute, clear hand, in single cols. of 21 lines, each 6 x 2 7/8, rubrics and rubricated letters, etc., partial, late, foliation, pencilled in Arabic (1-126), marginalia, the outermost sheet of the second quire (i.e. its first and last folios) are a later replacement, the first three folios are mounted. (740 A.H., 1339-40 A.D.)
Binding: Millboards, covered black morocco, stamped with floral devices in the centre of each board and on the flap
