This MS. was copied at Ahmedabad A.H. 1071 (1660-1 A.D.).
On the first free fly-leaf in an early XVIII. Cent. hand [in Arabic characters]: KITABU'L KAMUS | hoc est, Liber | Oceanus, (dictus.) | Sive Lexicon Arabicum, | auctore Mohammede | Ebn Iaacub Alfiruzabadi.

Physical Description: Bound volume.
Paper, 9 7/8 x 5 5/8, ff. 542, written in a small clear hand, in single cols. of 31 lines, each 7 x 3 3/4, few marginalia, rubrics, rubricated foliation, partial (1-416).
Binding: Millboards, covered crimson morocco, stamped with floral devices on gilt paper plaques on both boards, which are loose, the flap is gone
