Of the first of these two volumes the first page is headed: "Collectanea & Cogitata. Lugd: Batav: 9 Octris. 1710". Folio.
These volumes contain a number of small treatises on physiological and medical subjects - the most elaborate of which is: "De motu musculari". There are also extracts from the writings of Herman Boerhaave and other medical authors. The second volume contains "Catalogus libror. quos tanquam optimos commendavit cl: et doctiss: D: D: Boerhaave in collegio suo publico de methodo studendi vel discendi medicinam". Also, "Catalogus libror. ad Alexandr. Stuart. pertinenti." and "Library recommendatory emend. Catalogus". There are several loose leaves and drawings scattered through the volumes. Stuart studied at Leyden, 1709-11
