On a slip of paper in a XIX. Cent. hand, inserted at Psalm 133 (132): The Bible= Latin Version | Presented by Miss Eccles. | Opened at 132 Psalm.
Dr. James notes: Prayer of Manasses follows 2 Chron. Order of books of Esdras is: Esdre I. (Ezra) Nehemiah. Esdre II. (= I Esdras of Apocr.), Apocripha Esdre Prologue (= 4 Esdras i. ii.). Apocripha Esdre = 4 Esdras iii.-xvi. Ep. to Laodiceans follows Col.
On iv, 1 recto and verso has been rather carelessly copied out of J.A. Fabricius' Codex Apocryphus [G.U. Lib. Bm. 9. K. 7. 8]: Novi Testamenti Tom. I. pp. 873-879, Hamburgi 1703; the Epistle to the Laodiceans beginning: Epistola D. Pauli and Laodiceos | [Greek characters], and ending: [Greek characters].
On 1, 1 recto and 32, 23 recto are two inscriptions carefully obliterated and perfectly illegible.
On the upper edges of the leaves there appears to be an inscription or press-mark: Sc BIA and on the lower edges of the leaves there is what appears to be a press-mark: 16 S.

Physical Description: Bound volume.
Vellum (foetal), 7 x 5, ff. 642, beautifully written (?in France), in double cols. of 44 lines, each 4½ x 1½, double margined with plummet and ruled with ink (in No. 2, three cols. of 47 lines, each 4 3/8 x 1 1/8, and in No. 3, three cols. of about 82 lines, each about 5¼ x 1 3/8), catchwords (often cropped), no signatures (probably cropped), no foliation, illuminated initials (blue and red with gestures and vice versā), running titles and capitulation in red and blue, rubrics and initials of sentences touched with vermilion (in the Psalter, red and blue alternately), rare marginalia, much cropped, margins cut in many places, otherwise clean and well preserved, fol. sec. loquitur inter perfectos. Cent. XIII.-XIV.
Binding: Millboards, covered spattered sheep-skin, gilt-tooled edges and sham-panelled back, title (gilt) on crimson morocco shield: BIBLIA SACRA | M.S. IN PERGAMENA. Cent. XVIII.
