On 1, 1 recto in an XVIII. Cent. hand: 2-15-0. Under this in P. Burmann's hand: PRISCIANI | GRAMMATICA: and at the foot: Petri Burmanni | Secundi.

The three pages 11, 4 recto-12, 1 recto contain respectively four, ten and two lines of music with words attached in a XVI. Cent. hand, the first piece beginning: Saluator mundi salua flos Sancta dei genetrix virgo semper maria ora pro nobis and ending: perfrui mereamur the second beginning: Recordare domine testamenti tui et dic angelo percucienti cesset [from II. Sam. xxiv. 16 and I. Chron. xxi. 15], and ending: et cessauit plaga a domino and the third reading: Multitudo languentium et qui uexabantur a spiritibus | immundis veniebant ad eum quia virtus de illo exibat et sanabat | omnes [from S. Luke vi. 18].
On 17, 8. is sketched in brown crayon, touched up later with ink, a floreated cusp; the same artist's hand is seen on 19, 1 verso.
A few musical notes are scribbled on 19, 12 verso, probably by the same hand as in 11, 4-12, 1.

Vellum, 9 5/8 x 6 5/8, ff. 156, beautifully written (?in France) with jet black ink, in single cols. of 23 lines, each 4 x 2, signatures, numerical, on the last versos, catchwords, partly cropped, no foliation, gilt historiated initials, gilt illuminated and otherwise ornamented initials, red and blue paragraph marks, elaborately double-margined and ruled with brown crayon, numerous marginalia, much cropped, many leaves mutilated (margins removed, etc.), vellum defective in places, worm-holed at the beginning and end, otherwise in good condition, fol. sec. adiunccione. Cent. XIII.
Binding: Millboards, covered (faded) crimson grained Russia, gilt-tooled (lines) edges, sides, sham-panelled back, exactly as in U.4.12-15, etc., title (gilt): PRISCIANI | GRAMMAT. | MS. Cent. XVIII.
