Sol in corde manet et in arterijs dominatur:
Marcurius patulam pulmonis habet regionem:
Testes Venus habet, et que seminalia vasa=
Sortitur: sed epar iouis est stomachusque ciborum:
Splen saturnus habet: Mars fel: sed luna cerebrum.

Venter aque: dorsum terre: manus est aeri sors?
Sic hominem celique regunt elementaque pascunt.
iii, 1 verso contains various medical receipts in XV.-XVI. Cent. hands.
iii, 2 recto contains 23 lines of XV.-XVI. Cent. English, beginning: Theys be the grett and my[unkeyable character]etty Emprowerys | kyngys and lordys infidellys and enmys vnto.
On iii, 2 verso in various hands (XV.-XVII. Centuries) are the following mottoes and verses: de duobus malis minus | est eligendum si vis sanus esse noli | fructibus esse | Qualis esse verbis talis videre debeo | Si tibi deficiant medici, medici tibi fiant | hec tria, mens leta, labor et moderata dieta. | Sus nos auditu linx visu Simia gustu | Vultur odoratu nos vincit aranea tactu.
On 13, 6 (7) [f. 151] verso, under eight lines of XV. Cent. medical receipts, are five Latin hexameters and a memorandum in an early XVI. Cent. hand - the former assigning temporal succession to the "humours", the latter presenting a physiological theory - thus: A nona noctis donec sit tercia lucis | Est dominans sanguis, sex inde sequentibus signis | est dominans colera donec lucis nona sit hora. Post niger humor adest donec sit tercia noctis. Postea fleuma viget donec sit nona quietis | In coitu tria sunt. scilicet appetitus spiritus et humor...
A somewhat later hand gives in two hexameters the causes of stammering, and in four rhymed lines enumerates the parts of the eye, under which the same hand as on iii, 1 recto has six hexameters entitled: Ex siccantia | attenuantia | de materia tui | corporis, and beginning: Debilitat siccat corpus: potus minimus haustus | Atque cibus modicus, et salsa cibaria, frixa.
