The paper stock of this MS. bears an 'Arms of Amsterdam' watermark similar to Hewword no. 410, i.e. with initials 'AJ'. The paper, therefore, was probably unprinted. Although a date towards the end of the 17th century is possible, it is more likely that this work dates from the first decade of the 18th century. (D.W., 25.xi.87.)
Physical Description: Bound volume.
Paper, 7 7/8 x 6 1/8, ff. 391 (originally ff. 392), well written in two parallel cols., the first Latin, the second Russian, of about 38 lines, the first about 7 x 1, the second about 7 x 3, no signatures, catchwords, or pagination, no marginalia, clean, and excepting some leaves cut and torn, well preserved, cropped. Cent. XVIII.
Binding: Back damaged, millboards, covered spattered calf, gilt-tooled (double lines) sides and panelled back, red spattered edges, title (ink): Gr. MSS. Cent. XVIII.
