Another hand (contemporary) has written at right angles to the last: Rycharde.
The first fly-leaf is a leaf of an XI.-XII. Cent. Breviary in double cols. with red, green, and blue initials and rubrics. Its first rubric is: Sancte SABINE. The green ink has corroded through.

The later hand continues below: see Powells History of Wales. Page 52 and also | Percy Enderbys Cambria Triumphans. Page 236.
After a space the earlier hand has: Of these Lawes see Dugdales Origines Juridiciales Pag: 54 | J: Bale 2 Cent: Capt: 28: This is called Llyfr hen y tuy l'swyn (?)
The later hand adds (at the bottom): of Howel Dha see much in Dr Henry Spelmans | councells p: 408 to 415. against Morgan Hen prince of | Glamorgan and Ewyas. Sr Henry Spelm: | men- | tions one Salesbyryes edition of these Lawes in print | about the yeare 1600.
It was probably this later hand that wrote the second title on the front board and paged the MS. Was it Richard Symonds (Dict. Nat. Biog. lv. 275)?
ii, 1. consists of one of two leaves from a XIII.-XIV. Cent. MS. of Canon Law (?).
