Physical Description: Bound volume.
Vellum, very fine, 9 3/8 x 7, ff. 59, originally ff. 60, beautifully written in a Roman hand, in single cols. of 29 lines, each 5 7/8 x 4 1/8, signatures nearly all cropped, catchwords, foliation (contemporary), rare marginalia. On the first page (now lost) was a large illuminated initial, 3 x 2 3/4, which has set off on the (original) fly-leaf, a few worm holes in margins, otherwise in good condition, fol. sec. Quae res. Early Cent. XV.
Binding: Millboards, covered (faded) crimson morocco, gilt-tooled sides, edges, and panelled back, Dr. Wm. Hunter's crest (a Hunter's horn) in top panel, gilt edges, title on dark and light green morocco shields: VITA | ALEX | MAG. | M.S. Cent. XVIII.
