Ends (28, 6 [f. '214'] verso col. a, lines 32, 33): amis de la royne dont Il en y | eut au pendre dix huit neuf comtes neuf ducs.
Remarks: ii, 2-4. have the top corners torn off.
1, 1 recto has a printed stamp enclosing a crowned oval shield, (or) bearing a cross (azure): EX BIBL. DOM. G. C. DE BOURLAMAQUE. The same stamp recurs on the verso of the last folio.
On 1, 1 recto, under the stamp, is the autograph: Laurens Turquoys 1649. This name with the date 1651 recurs on f. '113.'
Laurent Turquoys, the historian, died at Orleans 1648. His son (of the same name) edited his L'Empire franšais.

Vellum, 14 3/8 x 10╝, ff. 217, originally ff. 220, evenly written in double cols. of 38 lines, each 9 3/4 x 3 1/8, ruled and margined with red ink, no signatures or catchwords (probably cropped), foliation, contemporary (in red), coloured initials, large and small, paragraph marks red and blue alternately, few marginalia, fairly clean, but damaged by damp, and cropped, fol. sec. Des guerres. Cent. XV.
Binding: Millboards, covered crimson sheepskin, gilt-tooled sides and edges (lines) and inside margins, panelled back, title: TRESOR | DES HISTOIRE Cent. XVII.
