From the tenth line of 8, 6 recto another hand continues to the end of quire 9. The first words in each paragraph are dashed with or written in green ink.
The 10th quire, as noted, is smaller sized than the rest of the book.
2, 4. (originally blank, like the missing leaves 2, 5-8.) has an addition of a column and a half of "Flora Medica," etc.
On iii, 1 recto is a charm in an early XVII. Cent. hand "to stanch bledinge," under which, in a contemporary hand: Joannes Laingford | Walles.
On iii, 1 verso in other contemporary hands: At quarle: at Robert downes | for Samuel Warnars sonne | whoe hathe a sore hedde | Tibalt | Hopkins | Gale | Philippe Comminns | Swynborne: batchelar of the | Civill lawe.
This last is probably the autograph of Henry Swinburne, B.C.L. (1560-1623). See Dict. Nat. Biog. lv. 228, D. MacLeane, History of Pembroke College, London, 1900, and T.6.17 (Description).

Early Cent. XV.
Binding: Millboards, covered brown (originally crimson) Russia, gilt-tooled (lines) sides and edges, back board loose, title (gilt): OLD | MEDICINES | M.S. Cent. XVIII.
