On ii, verso a scribe has tried his text hand in copying some lines of a hymn to the B.V.M.

Paper, 8 x 5, ff. 206, well written in the Netherlands (the Hague), in single cols. of 31-33 lines, each 5 x 3-3, margined with brown crayon, not ruled, no signatures or foliation, traces of catchwords, ornamented initials, rubrics and rubricated initials and paragraph marks, initials beginning sentences touched with vermilion, headings underlined with red, much cropped, clean and unmarked, first page damaged in two places, fol. sec. rebus oblectamenta. Late Cent. XV. (1491).
Binding: Original, oak boards, covered black calf, vellum straps pegged, originally clasped and strapped, blind-tooled in lozenged panels with stamps. Late Cent. XV.
