Remarks: A loose sheet is inserted between the last sheet of quire 1 and quire 2.
Many leaves are gilt edges from the 14th quire onwards.
There are many blank leaves.

Paper, 9 x 7 3/4, ff. 291, originally ff. 292, written in two hands, ff. 1-103 and ff. 106-291, in single cols. of 14-21 lines, each 7½ x 5½ and 8 x 7 respectively, signatures (numerical) on the first recto of each quire, top margin, (in quires 1-8, 13 [signed 9*], 14 [signed 10], and 35 [signed 12], catchwords (first eight quires), no pagination. Cent. XVIII.
Binding: Original, millboards, covered brown calf, front board lost, title (gilt) on crimson morocco shield: CATALOGUE | OF | MINERALS. Cent. XVIII.
