On i, 4 recto in an early XVIII. Cent. hand: Eutropius et Paulus Diaconus.
On 1, 1 recto top margin, in a late XVI. Cent. hand (erased): Historia Romanorum.
On each of the boards is a heraldic blazon. Shield charged with chevron, surcharged with escutcheon bearing right hand (palm extended), between three otters' (?) heads, langued, dexter, surmounted by a helmet with closed visor over which is a lion couchant. The chevron is gilt, apparently meant to represent gules, so also the heads and hand.
1, 1 recto line 1-1, 2 recto line 2 = pp. 35-39, line 21, of the Basil edition (not in Dietsch).
1, 2 recto line 3 = p. 39, line 22, of the Basil edition = Dietsch, p. 3.
The text varies considerably from both of these editions.

Vellum, 9 x 6 7/8, ff. 64, well written in single cols. of 33 lines, each 7 3/8 x 5, no signatures (probably cropped off), no catchwords, foliation, in pencil (XVII.-XVIII. Cent.), rubricated initials, marginalia, quires loose, fol. sec. cum adoleuissent. Cent. XII.
Binding: Millboards, covered brown calf, blind and gilt-tooled, red spattered edges, arms [see Description] stamped in gold on both boards, now (1905) in the binder's hands. Cent. XVII.-XVIII.
