Karl Andreas Duker (1670-1752) was a famous German classical critic and editor.
Marginal directions to the illuminator occur.
On the bottom margins of ff. 75 verso and 76 recto in an XVIII. Cent. hand: male asserunt fuisse hunc foeminei | Sexus . sed forte a romanis sic | vocabatur quia effoeminatus erat | qui de his plura, legat florimont | de Remont de l'antipapesse. f. '113' (111) recto lines 19-22:- ad propria remeauit et sic est finis | Explicit cronica fratris martini. | ordinis fratrum predicatorum de Impe | ratoribus [last four lines rubric].
The following verso begins: GRegorius decimus Anno domini Mcclxxi. [the date rubricated].
f. From these colophons it would appear that Fr. Martin's work was continud by Fr. Bartholomaeus.

Vellum, rough, mended, 8 7/8 x 6 1/8, ff. 140, written in single cols. of 30 lines, each 6 x 4 1/8, ruled and margined (ink), signatures, foliation (contemporary), no catchwords, rubrics, rubricated initials and paragraph marks, initial letter of each sentence touched with vermilion, marginalia, fol. sec. quattuor. Cent. XV.
Binding: Millboards, covered crimson (faded to brown) Russia (replacing original beech boards with brass clasps), gilt-tooled (lines), boards loose, title (gilt): CRONICA | MARTINI | M.S. Cent. XVIII.
