Pietro Sarpi (Fra Paolo) was born 14th August, 1552, and died 14th Jan. 1623.
This Life of Sarpi usually attributed to Fulgencio Micanzio (though questioned by Foscarini and Griselini) was published at Leyden, 1646, in 12mo.

Physical Description: Bound volume.
Paper, 11 x 7 7/8, ff. 71, evenly written in a beautiful Italian hand, in single cols. of 38 lines, each 9 3/4 x 5-6, signatures, catchwords, foliation (on versos), interlinear corrections and underlining by a later hand, margined by folding, no ruling. Early Cent. XVII.
Binding: Original, millboards, covered brown calf, tooled (lines), blind and gilt, sides and edges, panelled back, red spattered edges. Cent. XVII.
