The references on ff. 67 verso and 68 verso seem to deal with prophecies, e.g. of the coming of Antichrist and his vanquishment, the flight of the Curia from Avignon, etc.
In the Annals many of the years are left blank, as in the last line.
On i, 1 verso is an indecipherable autograph in XVI. Cent. hand.
On i, 2 recto, in early XVIII. Cent. hand, is: No. 1236 (?lot number)
On iii, 6 verso is pasted a slip of sale catalogue:
Les Institutes a l'Empereur Justinien. wrote most regularly in two co | lumns on paper, the initials painted in red. There are bound up in the | same volume the following Chronicles, De Chronicis Romae. | De Chronicis Angliae. | Chronicon a nate Christo ad annum 313. fol. | The binding of this book is antique, fortify'd with plates of brass | on the four corners and in the middle of the boards. Physical Description: Bound volume.
Paper, 11 x 8 5/8, ff. 70, ff. 1-66 written in a small even French hand, ff. 67-70 in a freer and more rapid contemporary hand, in double cols. of 40 lines, each 8 x 2, ruled and margined with brown crayon, signatures (cropped), catchwords (vertical), foliation (contemporary), one pen and ink vignette at the commencement, spaces for vignettes on ff. 13 verso, 36 recto, 54 verso, and marginal instructions to illuminator, no decoration of the Chronica, vermilion spilt by the illuminator on f. 13 verso and f. 14 recto, rubricated capitals and paragraph marks, three or four marginalia, fol. sec. chascuns pueples. Cent. XV.
Binding: Original, bevelled beech boards, covered brown calf, blind-tooled in lines and lozenges with small central stamp of a fleur-de-lis in each, brass bossed corners and centres (bosses on each side and lower back corner gone), brass clasps (remains), and catches, vellum slips down the centres of quires. Cent. XV.
