On iii, 9 verso, in XVII.-XVIII. Cent. hand: Continet hic liber Theodoreti expositio- | nem in Psalmos. Codex est optimae notae, | quod vel ex lacuna patet psalmo xviii. vid. pag. MS. xviii; Theodoreti, Editione parisiensi, page 467. Desinit psalmo cxviii (cxix) versu c. Injuria temporis reliqua periisse dolendum est. (The lacuna here referred to is 4, 2. [see above].) Under this note is pasted a printed slip from a sale catalogue: [Greek characters]. A very ancient MS. of Theodoret's commentary on the Psalms in vel- | lum. In the beginning of the MS. the transcriber has wrote the text of the Psalms with red ink. The writing of this book resembles the | specimen given by Dr. Pearce of the MS. of Longinus. The leaves of | this MS. are 167, large 4to. | There's a lacuna in the 18th psalm, and the MS. ends at the 100 verse | of the cxix. The rest of the manuscript has perished through the in- | iury of time. This commentary has been only once printed.
1, 1 verso has 12 + 6 + 10 lines of almost indecipherable writing in three later hands. The first writing is so mutilated as to be unintelligible, the second contains a prayer, and the third enumerates the canonical 'hours'.
This MS. is of antique type.
