On the verso of i, 1 in Burmann's hand: Dictionarium Theoduli Thessalonici | Continentur hoc Codice, vetustissimo, et optimae notae, | Thomae Magistri Eclogae Dictionum Atticarum, | Maximi Planudae liber [Greek characters]. | Manuelis Moschopuli Byzantini [Greek characters] | tum [Greek characters] | Codex hic partim | bombycinus partim | membranaceus, | Comparavi ex auctione Boėrneriana Lipsiae | divendita CDDCCLV. Petrus Burmannus | Secundus.
For P. Burmann, junr., see S.1.1.
The scribe, observes Dr. James, seems to be Gianfrancesco Boccardo Pilade, of Brescia, who wrote MS. Coislin (Bib. Nat.) 175, and lived in the XV. Century.
[Formerly Q.4.16; Q.4.63].
The paper is not oriental, but Italian. There is a watermark in the gutter, a hat; I saw only the lower half and so cannot identify it with certainty. (I.C. Cunningham, 28/5/81).
