Content: Autograph letter, signed, from Irene Lamond to Dr [H.G.] Farmer. Nerobergstr. 8, Wiesbaden, 24th August 1958.
Thanks for his letter of 24 June, received today! Daughter Irene - Frederic Lamond's only child - working as translator in Wiesbaden and dangerously ill in May. Left Bournemouth to nurse her. Title of Lamond's opera is 'My Elsie from the Scotish Highlands'. Copy held by Graham and Morton in Stirling. They also have portrait of him by Bohemian master [Andrušek], painted while he played Beethoven's Opus 111; it should be in Lamond Collection. Would be happy to read Farmer's biography of him and send it to German critics.
